Bulldog Deodorant TV SpotA deodorant for men that doesn't gas you every tine you use it, and is better for the planet too. Yah, I can get on board with that. I mean, I did. I wrote and directed a TV spot with my create compadre, Eldge. We shot it in a really cold studio so not much need for den that day, really. We also developed a series of lovely animations for Bulldog's website and socials, by way of punchy visual explainers on the mechanics of what makes this natural deo spray better than others. Super fast turnaround - the usual - and we pulled some favours to keep the budget tight. Super proud of this campaign.
Google Film for LGBTQ+ AwarenessGoogle has 190,000 employees globally. The tech giant wanted to speak to the people about support and understanding for their queer community. To this end, over the past couple of years I have written and directed 3 films for Google. This is the latest - for International Coming Out Day. This one didn’t require a shoot, instead I interviewed LGBTQ+ Googlers around the world and cut their voices to archive film, layered with motion graphics and animated overlays. I had a marvellous team of creatives helping me bring this edit together and VP Global Partner at Google, Pedro Pina, said "It's a masterpiece". Happy with that! The big thing for me, though, is that these important and personal films were played at All Hands meetings and hit the inboxes of thousands of Googlers - that's so meaningful for LGBTQ+ Googlers, whether they as individuals are out publicly or not.

Cow & Gate Online FilmsIt's amazing what you can produce under pressure. Working with 5 parent filmmakers in the UK, capturing their stories at home with their families, we made a series of social films for Cow & Gate around 4 themes - to show support for parents in lockdown during the early stages of the Covid pandemic. Within 10 days we defined the strategy, commissioned filmmakers, crafted the copy, and we delivered the films. Good work in bad times.
